Welcome to GAC MOTOR
GAC MOTOR MAY BE A RELATIVELY NEW NAME TO QATAR, BUT IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY THEY HAVE LONG BEEN RECOGNISED AS A GLOBAL PLAYER.
The parent company GAC Group has been building around 750,000 cars a year on behalf of world class brands such as Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Isuzu and Fiat. This vast ocean of technical knowledge and expertise has led to the birth of a brand in itself which is now known as GAC Motor. These vehicles are built to the same rigorous standards of quality which are synonymous with their other brands, but also utilize components from reputable international suppliers such as Bosch, Continental and Denso. Every vehicle in the range has been awarded a 5 star rating in the C-NCAP test ratings, which provides every driver with the confidence that both the Passive and Active safety features are beyond question. The quality of these cars and the value for money offered, has to be experienced to be believed.
In order to ensure production of a quality vehicle, GAC Group not only uses the experience gained from working with other car manufacturers, it also sources various components of its cars from international suppliers such as the electronic stability program and engine management systems from Bosch (Germany), front brakes from Continental (Germany), Front and Rear bumpers from Visteon (USA), 5-speed automatic transmission from Aisin (Japan), air conditioning from Denso (Japan), seatbelts, airbags, rear brakes, and hydraulic power systems from TRW (USA).
This strategy yielded impressive results, as in 2011, GAC broke the sales record for the most sold Chinese vehicle and saw an impressive 92.9% growth in sales in 2012 – a testament to both the quality and reliability of the car. In the first quarter of 2014, a 51% increase in sales was achieved, which comes to show that the manufacturers’ success continues to this day. Building on this success, GAC Motor’s strategy is to introduce at least one new car model each year in order to have a wide enough range of cars to compete with other more established American, Japanese, Korean, and European brands.
